the Importance of Vitamin D

Hank went to the doctor afew weeks ago and got his lab results back and he is really vitamin D deficient.
He is getting a script for 50,000 unit -1 every monday & thursday!
When I heard that he was deficient -before we picked up his prescription, I fed him1500units, and he felt immediately better..
he wobbled less, and his legs felt stronger...less dizzy...
he had been depressed, fatiqued all the time...didn't sleep well...
I get that his Absorption/Utilisation mechanism is not working right... am working on it...
Before, this last few months, he couldn't walk a straight line ...good thing he never gets stoppped by a cop, he couldn't walk a straight line if you paid him...
You might think about checking your Vitamin D level ...
Most D3 (Cholecalciferol) and you want only D3 - not D2 comes in 400units per cap in fish oil. with vitamin A added. (you have to drink a quart of milk to get 400units worth of Vitamin D...)
Most people need an average of between 3000unit/5000units per day. Your doctor may not be aware of the latest research and /or your insurance may not pay for the blood test...But ask anyway. Read the Mercola article at the link above to for the right blood test.
The Mercola article also tells you about the right UV type that you need and how to get the right kind/amount of sunlight one needs for the body to produce Vitamin D3. As one gets older, the body's ability to produce/and or absorb vitamin D is diminished. and supplementation is needed.(Hank is 67...)
One way to check if you have enough is to check with your body. Buy some Vitamin D3 and read how many units are in each cap. Then take one to let your body feel it, give it time to absorb it. Then kinesiology self test it to check how many units your body wants/needs per 24 hr period. check each day as the amount may fluctuate (as with all supplements...). If you are deficient, then you may need higher levels for a while until your body has recovered to a normal (for you) level then the amount you need for daily maintenance may lower.
As there are also so many diferent brands etc of Vitamin D, kinesiology self test in the store by asking to be connected to your Body, Higher Self and your healing team, then taking one brand at a time, reading the contents details label, then ask your Team (ie your Higher Self, Body and Medical/Healing team leader) which brand would be the best for you.
If you need higher level of Vitamin D3 you need to be careful as Vitamin A is often paired with Vitamin D to enhance absorbtion. D needs a certain amount of A for the body to absorb and utilise it. look for Vitamin D3 as a stand alone cap in the higher units. too much D3 and/or Vitamin A can be toxic! so be careful...Too little is bad, and too much is also bad...
If you have trouble losing weight, you might want to read the article in the Link below:
